The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025 has wrapped and once again proven its status as the main event for showcasing groundbreaking technology and innovation. Building on the momentum of CES 2024, which highlighted game-changing advancements in AI, sustainability, and health tech, this year’s event continued to shape the future of the tech industry. To better understand the impact of CES 2025, we’ve turned to social media data, where real-time conversations offer insights into the event’s influence.
With Visibrain, the leading social listening platform, we’ve analysed the conversations surrounding CES 2025 to identify the key trends and takeaways from this year’s most anticipated tech event.
Social media has once again served as a dynamic space for CES-related discussions. This year, CES 2025 generated over 433,000 posts across platforms, reflecting a slight decrease compared to 2024. In terms of engagement, the event generated more than 16.2 million reactions across social media with over 215,000 users taking part in the discussion. However, TikTok stood out as the fastest-growing platform for CES content, showcasing the event’s ability to engage a broader, more diverse audience.
Social media conversations reveal the core trends capturing global attention at CES 2025. We present to you the top three which made up almost 50% of total posts:
Artificial intelligence continued its reign as the most-discussed topic. Innovations like generative AI models and AI-powered assistants garnered widespread attention. Social media was alight with reactions to announcements from industry leaders and the unveiling of new products pushing the boundaries of what AI can achieve. Using Visibrain, we found that AI-related discussions accounted for almost 30% of the total buzz, with terms like ‘generative AI’ and ‘AI-powered assistants’ trending globally.
Visibrain’s analysis revealed that health tech was a trending topic on TikTok, where creators demonstrated the potential of CES innovations through engaging short-form videos. Connected healthcare devices were a highlight this year. Wearables, at-home testing systems, and innovations in telehealth drove conversations, especially on TikTok. Creators showcased these technologies’ potential through engaging short-form videos, capturing the imagination of audiences worldwide.
From humanoid robots to advanced cleaning bots, robotics stole the spotlight in unique ways. Samsung’s Ballie, among others, emerged as one of the most talked-about innovations. Social listening revealed a mixed public sentiment, with excitement tempered by questions about usability and cost.
Video content was a clear winner when it comes to engagement with TikTok leading the way at over 6.5 million likes. It was followed closely by Instagram with 5.5 million likes and in third place; YouTube, with 2.4 million likes.
That being said, each platform brought unique advantages to CES 2025 conversations:
X, formerly Twitter, remains a powerhouse for real-time event updates and industry commentary, and CES 2025 was no exception.
