It’s all over for this season of Game Of Thrones. We used the Visibrain media monitoring tool to take a look at which emojis were being used by fans in tweets about their favorite characters.

Visibrain examined the top three emojis used in response to each of the most popular characters throughout the show. This analysis concerns over 1 million tweets shared using the #GoT hashtag during the TV debut of Season 6 (1 st May to 27 th June). The top three emojis were then determined for each character based Twitter on volumes.

Some of the key moments of the season shine through. The season’s shocking revelations about Hodor’s past were a hot topic for fans: the top emojis used in tweets about Hodor were the door emoji and the broken heart emoji. Ramsay’s grisly fate is illustrated by the dog and devil emojis, and Sam’s comparatively sweet love story (by Game of Thrones standards) attracted a lot of heart emojis.
